3rd September - Castles Challenge Triathlon
Originally setup in 2009, the series comprises a Junior Triathlon, a Sprint Triathlon and also a Middle Distance (Half Iron) Triathlon. The swim, bike and run courses offer stunning scenery linking up some of Northumberland's finest landmarks. There will be lots of activities with food & entertainment throughout the day, so it will be a great place to be with a real buzz! Lying in the shadow of the mighty Bamburgh Castle, Bamburgh Cricket Club is the headquarters for the Castles Challenge Triathlon Series and serves as the transition area for the races and provides a amazing backdrop for the finish line. 4th September - Boarders & Bridges Triathlon
Organised for the 2nd year, this sprint triathlon caters for all abilities. Taking in some of the most monumental views of the tweed whilst crossing the border to Scotland on the bike before heading back to England. On the run the crowds will gather for 5km round the historic walls of Berwick - Upon - Tweed. For more information click here
10th September - Cleveland Relays
A fantastic, fun, end of season team event. The event is completed in teams of four. Starting with a team 16 mile cycle ride followed by a relay 3 mile run before heading to the pool to complete a 400m swim. Held at Stokesley Leisure Centre.

18th September - Teesdale Triathlon
A fantastic end of season race. This sprint distance triathlon consists of a 400m pool swim, 18 mile cycle over undulating terrain and ends witha 3 mile run that is mostly off road along field and farm tracks.

18th September - Kielder Reiver Triathlon
Returning for a 2nd year after an amazing debut in 2015 this middle distance event takes place in a truly awesome setting at Kielder Water & Forest Park where you can experience racing on a grander scale. The swim course is a 1.2 mile loop with a deep water start in the bay in front of Leaplish where the water can reach upto 180 feet deep.The 59 mile bike course is where participants will make a Border Reiver style raid into rugged border country, with over 5000ft of climbing this undulating route will require true Reivers spirit. The 10.5km Run loop follows the Lakeside Way before heading up and over Bull Crag and around the Peninsula then returning to Lakeside Way along the shoreline with some stunning scenery as runners head back to Leaplish and then out for a final lap. 18th September - Children's Disability Triathlon
The Children's Disability Tri is an event designed especially for children who would be normally challenged by the thought of doing a triathlon. It is very relaxed and there will be as much help as the children need.
Based at the David Lloyd Club in Gosforth, the event will consist of a range of distances for the swim, bike and run and the athlete chooses how far they want to do according to their ability.

18th September - GO TRI Prudhoe Triathlon
A super sprint non competative triathlon with pool swim. Ideal for first time triathletes or those wanting to explore whether the sport is for them. These are a fun and friendly taste of triathlon aimed at newcomers to triathlon and multisport.
Club members will be on hand to marshall you around the well-signed courses and cheer you on! No prior experience is needed to enter our GO TRI events.

25th September - Hartlepool Big Lime Triathlon
Open water sea swim 750m, in Jacksons Dock next to Hartlepool Maritime experience/ historic quay, 20km cycle on mostly flat, closed roads followed by 5k run along the promenade following the sweeping sandy bay of Hartlepool and Seaton. For more information click here
1st October - Kielder Run Bike Run
The Kielder Run Bike Run kicks off a whole weekend of events at Kielder, there really is something for everyone at this fabulous weekend in a beautiful part of the country! Compete as an individual or the relay event offers teams of three the opportunity to complete the Kielder marathon on the lakeside way course without having to run the full distance. The course is broken down into the following sections: 1st Leg Run - 11km, 2nd Leg Bike - 26km, 3rd Leg Run - 5km. We would recommend mountain bikes, hybrid bikes or cyclocross for the bike section. 2nd October - Cobalt Duathlon
The Cobalt Duathlon sponsored by WINNS Cycling is the perfect event for both novice & experienced athletes to test themselves on a challenging but fun course set around the Cobalt Business Park. The event features a 5km run followed by a 20km bike ride and then a further 5km run.This promises to be a fantastic event for novices to enjoy the thrill of a professionally managed duathlon and for experienced athletes wanting to set themselves a PB.
