13th March – Dale Care Off Road Duathlon

Dale Care Off Road Duathlon is based at Hamsterley Forest, County Durham.

Kick start the 2016 season with a bit of off road.  Hamsterley Forest is one of the Northeast’s premier mountain bike destinations. Explore the largest forest in County Durham on foot and bike as you take on this exciting new challenge.  Starting at Bedburn Beck Car Park, near to the visitors centre, the course consists of 5.5km Off Road Trail Run, 13km Mountain Bike Ride taking in some of the famous black and red routes, followed by a 4.4km Run.

20th March – GO TRI Northumberland 

Set right on the coast in Amble, the swim is 200m in the Granary pool with the cycle route of 3 miles going south down the links road to Hauxley and the 1km run on grass takes you to the very edge of the dunes at the beach.  A very short supersprint triathlon designed for complete beginners and ideal to give the sport a go in Northumberland in a relaxed environment.

22nd March – Sun City Duathlon

 A mouth-watering way to start the season. A straight up Run,  Bike, Run - 5k, 20k, 5k taking in the superb coastal road of  Seaburn, a fast and fantastic 4 lap bike course, bookended  with a picturesque run through Roker park, promenade and  parade.  Visit their website to take a virtual bike tour.
