Regional Technical Coordinator
Role
Allocate officials to regional events. Support trainee officials with allocation of shadow placements.
Skills
- Administration skills desirable
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good verbal and written skills
- Well organised and efficient
- Sound knowledge of the region and events
Main Duties
- Distribute a list of events taking place in your region to all your region’s officials, inviting expressions of interest.
- Collate interest and allocate all available officials to the events taking place in your region.
- Be responsible for sending this list to Triathlon England Events Team, your Regional Manager and also inform the race organisers of the name and contact details of their officials.
- Liaise with race organisers within your region to identify opportunities for new and developing officials to gain further experience and for shadow placements.
- Work with your Regional Manager to identify opportunities to organise courses within the region and actively promote British Triathlon’s LTO and RTO awards.
- Sit on the Regional Committee to update committee regularly on status of above within the region.
- Encourage all referees to send in race reports to the race organiser and HQ as well as you yourself.

You will also be provided with a list of events for which officials will be decided upon by members of the Rules and Technical Committee. These events will include World and European Qualifiers and National Championships. If any of these events are taking place in your region, you will not need to assign a referee to that event.
Commitment
This role will be at its busiest pre race season when the allocation of referees for races will take place.
Ongoing requirement to attend meetings and deal with admin.
Likely time commitment:
12 contact points per year - 4 face to face meetings a year including the AGM, 4 committee skype meetings per year, and general catch up and phone calls etc.
