A perennial early season triathlon, favourite for beginners and seasoned athletes alike.

Following on from the last year's huge success under the wings of Tri Northumberland Triathlon Club, the Ashington Triathlon enters its eighth year. An ever popular early-season triathlon which always sells out so don't delay in entering. This event attracts a wide range of competitors from all abilities, especially beginners who made up 58% of entries last year. This year we are pleased to include 20 places for relay teams. If we get sufficient entries, we may run a corporate section or if you've wanted to be part of a triathlon but not been confident in one of the disciplines this is your opportunity.

Hosted in the town of Ashington once famous for being the largest mining town in Europe, with the kind invite from Active Northumberland this year's Triathlon will start at the town's all new £21 million leisure centre.

Supported by one of the region’s leading Triathlon and sports retailer and online retailers, A1 Multi sport will be providing generous place prizes as well as being present on race day for your last minute sporting goods needs and advice.
