"Well the 2014 Fylde Trilogy kicked off at Ribby Hall on Sunday, and what a Fantastic day it was, with the weather playing a big Part in this first Part of Three Sprint Distance Triathlons taking part hear on the Fylde Coast.

Part one is Ribby Hall, then on to St Anne's in May and Fleetwood in Sep.

Ribby Hall was a very well supported Event with over 250 Athletes taking part All coming from Lancashire, but Here at Ribby saw a new Team of Triathletes taking part from our very own Blackpool, Welcome Team BATs ( Blackpool Aquatics Triathlon Squad) this Squad is made up of Athletes from novices though to Ironman standard , these guys train here at Palatine Leisure centre making the most of the great Facilities Sport Blackpool has to offer.

And so on to the race, as a Sprint Distance Triathlon , 400m swim / 18K Bike / 5K run , new PBs were on the cards for most with the wind playing it's part on the bike section..

With Tony Mitchell being placed 56th out of 265 with a Time of 1 hour 2min

Ross Bowie placed 80th with a time of 1 hour 4 min

Kevin Rawding  placed 99 with a time of 1 hour 6 min

Sarah Mitchell placed 117 with a time of 1 hour 8 min and a well placed 8th ladies overall 

Robert Hudson placed 223 with a time of 1 hour 23 min.

Rest assured that these guys will be looking for improvements for ST Anne's"
