GO TRI Novice Disability Training Day

Published:

The first GO TRI Novice Disability Training Day took place on the 23rd October at Leigh Sports Village.

The day was supported by Wigan Council and Inspiring Helathy Lifestyles and gave an opportunity for poeple with disabilities to try out triathlon for the first time.

The day was lead by the regional paratri coaches and supported by the local clubs including Wigan, Warrington and Bolton, who ensured the day was both relaxed and enjoyable for all.

Participants were able to take part in a coached swimmimg session, followed by run and bike sessions. A range of adapted bikes were available for the novice participants to try out and local paratri athletes also attended to share there experiences of getting into triathlon.

The day finished with some mixed relay races and time trials giving the participants a chance to show off the skills they had acquired during the day.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in making this day extremely enjoyable for all!
