Nutrition course a success

Nutrition course held on the 19th March was Fantastic according to attendees.

A nutrition course held on the 19th March at The Manchester Regional Arena by Rebecca Dent was Fantastic.

Rebecca spent 2.5 hours with the attendees and covered how to devise your own nutrition strategy to suit your training schedule. She covered why it’s important to get your nutrition strategy right every day, enabling you to turn up to each training session properly fueled and hydrated, optimise energy levels during training and enhance recovery especially for twice day training. Getting daily nutrition intake right will also help you to achieve a desirable body composition for performance, protect your immune system, keeping you healthy and even prevent injury. 

Danny Parr from Rochdale Triathlon club said "I thought this session was very useful.  Rebecca was clearly very knowledgeable about the topic area, and had first hand experience of providing nutritional support at the highest level in triathlon. The presentation was available afterwards, and Rebecca was happy to share calculations around defining nutritional needs and other metrics. Definitely recommend athletes and coaches to attend, and think TE should contribute to promote for this reason."
