Gosport Golden Mile 2017 Location: Stokes Bay Road,PO12 2QT Date: Sunday 18th June 2017 Time: Wheelchair events from 9.00 am Following yet another fantastic year in 2016 when over 750 runners completed the 4th Gosport Golden Mile, the race returns again in 2017 bigger and better than before! The race should appeal to athletes of all ages, sizes and abilities. In particular they are looking for wheelchair athletes who would like to race the 800m flat prom course!

Information for wheelchair athletes

The route for the wheelchair events take place along the promenade towards the Race Village and it is perfect for all athletes new to wheelchair racing.

Please note that the start of the race is 1 mile away from the race HQ at the Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service.

The race is for racing wheelchairs only and manual and electric wheelchairs are not permitted.

The event is open to classified and unclassified athletes and your start line places will be graded based on your personal best time for 1 mile. 

There will be blue badge parking spaces available at the start of the race and if you require one of these spaces please state on your entry form.

When completing your entry please make sure to answer all questions in regards to classification.

Prizes are on offer for Senior and Junior male and female winners.
