Hampshire Skills School

Sunday 20th November 2016 Mountbatten Leisure Centre. The South Central region are hosting a Skills School day at Mountbatten Leisure Centre, Portsmouth in Hampshire on Sunday 20th November 2016. Starting at 11.30pm and concluding at 5pm .

Who can attend?
It's for triathletes aged 11-16. As long as the young athlete is able to swim, bike and run for 5 minutes they are eligible for Skills School.

And up to 6 coaches who work with children's triathlon clubs to get involved with creating exciting, fun sessions using some new ideas. The coaches will have the opportunity to develop their coaching skills in line with the Skills School ethos with problem based learning through game based sessions.

Cost
£15 per child.

What sessions are we focusing on?
The day will have 3 sessions on fundamental movement and physical literacy, bike skills on the track and transition skills. You will need a roadworthy bike and helmet.

Skills School is a new British Triathlon initiative based around athletes exploring through play and developing their skills through creative and innovative sessions. The athletes will be encouraged to develop their technical, tactical and mental skills during the sessions.
