On 13th April 2003 RaceNewForest’s first event took place: a long duathlon based at Avon Tyrrell with a small but enthusiastic field. 15 years and over 120 races later Richard and Joanne Iles of RaceNewForest have decided that 2019 will be their last season of event management

The exciting news is that these well established races such as Swashbuckler in the beautiful Bucklers Hard and various distance events out of Moyles Court School right in the New Forest will continue post 2019 as event company Challenging Events have taken these events on . 

Kelly Wickens of Challenging Events wrote

We would like to congratulate and thank Richard and Joanne for their contribution to Southern Triathlon over the last 17 years and promise to take the events from strength to strength! Looking forward to seeing you as we build on this incredible heritage'
