The event list and registration process for the Triathlon England South East Junior series has now been released.

The event list and registration process for the Triathlon England South East Junior series has now been released. Comprising of 7 events split over 5 months, the series will visit locations from across the SE region.
 
The series kicks off with an early season event in April with the Kingfisher Aquathlon and then aims to really get up to speed with the Bridge open water Triathlon on 19th June. This becomes the first of 4 events inside a month.
 
Entries for the first 2 events are already open and are likely to sell out very quickly so don’t delay.

As is standard in junior events, there will be 10 categories split by gender and 5 age classifications, with age ranges between 8 and 16).
To be eligible to enter the TESE Junior Race Series 2016 your child must either live in Kent, Surrey or Sussex, go to school in Kent, Surrey or Sussex or belong to a triathlon club that is registered in Kent, Surrey or Sussex. 
 
It is essential to register an athlete onto the race series so their results can be included in the series. This can be done by completing this short form.
 
If you are not already familiar with the categorisation system used at these events and the series, it is based on age and gender. When entering an event, there are five age classifications based on age as of 31 December 2016, with a separate boys and girls category for each.
·         Tristart - 8 years old (born 2008)
·         Tristar 1 – 9/10 years old (born 2006 / 2007)
·         Tristar 2 – 11/12 years old (born 2004 / 2005)
·         Tristar 3 – 13/14 years old (born 2002 / 2003)
·         Youth – 15/16 years old (born 2000 / 2001)
