You are invited to attend the Triathlon England South East Club and Coach Conference which will include the AGM and Awards night.
Date- 13th October – Venue Holiday Inn Guildford.
There are a number of CPD workshops to choose from. Each are £30 each which has been heavily subsidence by Triathlon England and the Committee. If you book two workshops you get a free hot lunch! Places are limited a you are advised to book early.
First aid workshop 9am – 12 noon
Contents to include:-
• Dealing with a casualty in cardiac arrest, Heart attack and stops breathing (CPR);
• Dealing with a casualty who is unconscious and breathing;
• Dealing with Fractures, dislocation, cramp, sprains and strains;
• deal with external bleeding, shock and minor wounds;
• Understand how to treat heat exhaustion and hypothermia;
• how to deal with Head injuries.
This will be half practical and half theory with a bit of home learning before the course.
Swim Smooth workshop 13:00 – 16:00
A practical swim workshop with a focus on individual Swim Types and drill to help correct swimming flaws. Delivered by Fiona Ford - BTF Level 3 triathlon coach, Swim Smooth Certified Coach
Club Matters Workshop – 13:00 – 16:00
It can be sometimes difficult to get people to volunteer, this includes committee members, coaches, marshals at events, this workshop is designed to support you.
Giving your volunteers an excellent experience
•Develop a positive culture of volunteering within a club environment
•Identify how to develop the volunteer’s experience by assessing the value of club volunteers
•Develop the volunteer experience by identifying top tips in recruiting, retaining and rewarding new and existing volunteers
•Develop an action plan to improve the volunteer experience within a Sports club environment
•Where to find out more information to help improve the volunteer experience
Running CPD 9:00 – 12:00
This workshop is designed to give further knowledge to coaches about running styles and injury prevention. It is being delivered by Studio 57.
