The first Cyclopark duathlon of 2015 took place on Sunday 8th February, taking us a step closer to the season. Triathlon England are supporting these events throughout 2015.

On a crisp and sunny morning on Sunday 8th February, 38 competitors turned out for the first duathlon at Gravesend Cyclopark in 2015, organised by Bridge Events.

Setting off at 8.30am, with a stunning 5km run out of the Cyclopark and into the Kent countryside, followed by a fast 8 laps (20km) around the supurb Cyclopark circuit, finished with a repeat 5km run.

It was a great race, with some impressive times and there was a lovely atmosphere following the race, where competitors stayed behind to enjoy the refreshments at the friendly venue.

This was the first of twelve Triathlon England permitted events being organised by Bridge Events at the Cyclopark. Triathlon England are supporting Bridge Events and the Cyclopark to help promote and develop these events, to ensure their sustainability and quality.

South East Regional Manager, Jenny Vincent attended the event and commented "It has been a fantastic morning's racing at this excellent venue. I look forward to working with John Setford (of Bridge Events) throughout 2015, to further develop and promote the Triathlon England permitted events at Cyclopark."
