For the third in the club Bio series we venture to the north of the region to visit Epsom Triathlon Club.

Formed only last year, the club already boasts 70+ members and 3 BTF qualified coaches. The club has gained a good deal of attention in its short existence for not only having members who are very active in the regional triathlon community but by also having one of the most recognisable kit designs going (see images). A great bit of branding work has led to the on-trend colour scheme and instantly recognisable (& familiar) logo.  A triathlon kit that you can wear down the pub is a rare thing indeed!

Currently the club runs weekly swim sessions at the local Rainbow Centre as well as weekend rides and runs from Epsom’s Horton Park and local spin, circuit and fitness sessions in the Epsom area. The winter sees track sessions hosted at Ewell Harriers in West Ewell, whilst the summer brings the ability to relocate back to Horton Park for the coached run sessions.

Whilst the club doesn’t currently run any events, it is definitely a goal it has in the not too distant future. When discussing the club it is clear that the active members see it as a friendly, inclusive and welcoming club. It is definitely the intention that by providing a fun, inspirational and supportive environment for athletes of all ages and abilities the club will be growing and building on what has already been an amazing first year.
