There are many opportunities for community sports clubs to apply for funding. Triathlon England are here to support you with any application!
An increased number of commercial companies are seeing the benefits of offering funding to support the development of community sport and as a result there are more and more opportunties for affiliated triathlon clubs to access money to support the development of their club.
South East Regional Manager, Jenny Vincent has selected three current funding streams that are available and easy to access:
1) Mars Milk Play Fund will be donating 49 cash awards over a five month period to sports individuals, projects and clubs. Every week, two deserving applicants will be selected to receive a donation of £300. There will also be a monthly £1,000 award, where the public can vote for their favourite sports entry. 2) Raise Challenge Fund Grants are available to support voluntary and community groups in the South East of England to develop innovation, leadership, creative thinking, resourcefulness and inventive activities. Grants of between £2,500 and £10,000 are available. The deadline for Expressions of Interest is 31 May 2015. 3) Comic Relief Stronger Communties Fund aims to empower local people, enabling them to create lasting change in some of the poorest and most disadvantaged communities in the UK. Local Communities (grants of £1,000 to £10,000) is currently open for applications. Please check with your local community foundation to find out when their deadline is - there will be periods when the grant round temporarily closes.
