May sees the return of the popular Phoenix Aquathlon Series, organised by Phoenix Tri Club, and held at the fantastic Guildford Lido.

Four aquathlon (swim/run) events will take place at Guildford Lido during the summer of 2016. Organised by Guildford’s Phoenix Triathlon Club, the swim takes place in the heated 50m Guildford Lido, with the run element of the event taking athletes around scenic Stoke Park nearby.

A Triathlon England sanctioned event, the Phoenix Aquathlon events will see adults will complete a 500m swim followed by a 5km run, whilst children from 8 to 14 years will complete distances appropriate to their age.

Event Director, Becky Russell said: “These friendly aquathlons are a great way to spend your Friday evening. We want to encourage lots of people new to aquathlon to come along and have a go. It’s also a great opportunity for more experienced athletes to try to secure a personal best finish time!”
