Senior Series update

Published:

The 2018 TESE Senior Series has got off to a flying start with the first two events now completed. Congratulations to everyone who competed at Medway Duathlon and Arundel Triathlon.

At the Medway Duathlon, Tri Surrey and hosts Medway put in strong performances whereas, at Arundel Triathlon, Brighton and Horsham Amphibians took the honours. The results are shown below and the full details are in the file attached. As always, comments appreciated. Can I just point out that there were some 17-19 age competitors at Medway so the results have been analysed with these competitors included and excluded. The actual Senior Series result is unchanged for both.

As you know, the events comprising the TESE Senior Series are aimed at providing a range of different type of events (duathlon, pool/open water swim, length of events), spread through out the season and geographically across what is a large TESE area. With club/team categories for the 'mob' best aggregate turnout, female team, male team and mixed team, there is something for everyone. The best three event scores count towards the Senior Series so there is everything to aim for with four more events to participate in:

Dartford & WhiteOak Sprint Triathlon - Sunday 10 June

Leeds Castle Sprint Triathlon - Saturday 23 June

Bewl Water Standard Triathlon - Sunday 5 August

Southwater Relays - Sunday 2 September

These events often sell out, so please encourage your club mates to enter soon if they haven't already done so.

Please promote the Senior Series to all your club mates. The Series is great way to promote club participation and meet other clubs at local events where the emphasis is on participating and having fun. Full details are on the website, but please don't hesitate if I can help in any way.

Best wishes for a great season.

Stuart
