What is the Junior Race Series and why take part? The Junior Race Series is a series of 8 or 9 events across the region. The aim of the series is to give young athletes a wide range of experiences and the fun of competition. The 2018 Series will include at least one duathlon and aquathlon as well as triathlons with pool swims, open water swims, bike legs raced on grass and road.

Athletes are given a score for each race they take part in and at the end of the series the first, second and third placed male and female athlete in each age group Tristart, T1, T2, T3 and Youth receive awards. The Junior Race Series also provides the selection races for the Inter Regional Championships (IRCs).
