The standard distance event at The Swanage Triathlon Festival will be hosting The Triathlon England South West Championships Sun 9th August 2015

The Swanage Triathlon Festival is set in the seaside town of Swanage which resides in an area of outstanding beauty known as The Isle of Purbeck in Dorset.  The first triathlon hosted in Swanage was way back in 1986.  The Transition area overlooks Swanage Bay with amazing views across the Purbecks towards Old Harry Rocks, Bournemouth and The Isle of Wight.  The event is known for the stunning views from the bike course such as Corfe Castle, Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island.  A mix of steady climbs with some of the steepest descents in Dorset make for a thrilling race.  There is a new run course this year which heads out around the quiet country lanes surrounding the town.
