Three members of Trowbridge Hot Chilli Triathlon Club entered the Imber Ultra Marathon organised by Avon Valley Runners.

Run over 33 miles through Salisbury Plain starting and finishing in Westbury the Imber Ultra is a trail run with over 100 entrants annually.

Mark Blake, Ben Blackwall and Richard Blissett of Hot Chilli Tri entered as a team for the first time, and privately thought they were in with a chance of winning the coveted team prize with the training they were putting in.

At the 20 mile point all three were in the top thirty athletes with Mark Blake running highest at 7th, but come the end of the race Mark had moved up to fifth, and Ben 9th meaning they occupied two of the top ten spots. The price was brought home by Richard Blissett who finished comfortably ahead of the next closest team and the day was won.
