Workplace Challenge Community Games Takes Place in Victoria Square, Birmingham.

Triathlon England andGO TRI have teamed up with Dennis Kennedy to deliever taster sessions.

Dennis Kennedy is the founder of Sutton Coldfield Community Games and was honoured by the Royal Town`s Mayor, Councillor Derrick Griffin, at the Town Hall last year with the Community Event of the Year Award. This year, Dennis is continuing to organise events across the West Midlands, and we are very excited about this amazing opportunity to be involved and introducing our unique sport.

The first part of the Community Games took part in Victoria Square in Birmingham in link with Colmore BID.

Every year, Colmore BID has a comprehensive calendar of events designed so that there will be something that appeals to everyone throughout the year. The fundraising event that is always popular is the Colmore BID Community Games - probably due to the competitive nature of this team event!

8 teams of 4 participants from each work place took part on the 24th May 2019. The teams each did a 500m cycle on one of our static bikes and 20 speed jumps for their GO TRI challenge. Everyone who took part loved the challenge and became intrigued, wanting to continue their multisport journey. Luckily, we had GO TRI Brum to chat to our participants and give more information about future club sessions.

A big thank you to our amazing volunteers who helped make the day so inspiring. It's always appreciated when anyone helps out, it really does make a massive difference and creates such a buzz.

Our next event is taking place on the 29th and 30th June. We will be introducing thousands to Triathlon as this is one of the main events and will be held at Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham.

Tickets for the community games events can be found here.

We are still in need of volunteers for this event too as we will be for many more throughout the year.

Please let email Kirsty Outhwaite if you’re interested in being part of our team.
