If your wanting to take part in the Tamworth Duathlon but not sure what to expect - The novice training days will ease your nerves and help you fully prepare
Triathlon England are delighted to announce that we will be working with KP events this year to host a Duathlon event in the Castle Grounds of Tamworth on the 27th November 2016. For further information about the event, please click HERE.
To attract all levels and abilities of fitness, we are pleased to say that we will be working with Phil Clamp (Endurance Coach) and Alex Teagle (L2 British Triathlon Coach) to host some novice training days. This is a great chance for Triathlon England and KP Events to support those who want to get involved in a multi-sport activity and help gain that confidence in doing so.
The training day is aimed primarily at first timers who have just entered or intend to enter the Tamworth Duathlon
The sessions are designed to cover bike and run activities, so by the end of the sessions you will have the skills and knowledge to participate in events.
Skills you will learn
- Bike Skills
- Run Drills
- Transition Practice
- You will also get Nutrtion advice and go through some core strength work.
Pre-requisites
You need to be aged 16 or above

Saturday 15th October
9:30am-10:30am – Introduction and race prep
10:30am-12pm – Run skills and endurance/core work
Saturday 22nd October
9:30am-10:30am – Nutrition, rest and recovery
10:30am-12pm – Bike and transition skills
