Skill School Lead Coach Announced

Published:

The West Midlands are pleased to announce our Regional Skill School Lead Coach

We would like to welcome Alex Sobolewski as our Regional Skill School Lead Coach.

Skills School is a new initiative from Triathlon England that will better support the development of young triathletes and children’s club coaches in each region. Alex will be the face of Skill School within the West Midlands region and will lead on the planning and delivery of the Skills School days; which will focus on providing engaging opportunities for both athletes and coaches.

Regional Skill School Coach Alex Sobolewski said,

"I see Skills School as a fantastic opportunity for club coaches to develop their coaching by sharing knowledge with each other, being creative and putting new ideas in to practice in a real coaching environment. The young athletes attending will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through guided discovery, meet new friends and hopefully have a lot of fun!"

About Alex:

I'm a level 2 coach, have a sport science degree and am currently completing my masters in coaching. I was involved in athletics and rugby for many years until I stumbled upon triathlon 5 years ago. Fell in love with the sport and the supportive triathlon community and represented the GB age group team in duathlon. I currently coach for Triks and trienergykids in Stourport. I have a strong belief that coaching should be about athlete well-being and meeting the needs of the individual so that they can achieve their chosen goals in the sport.
