Notification of details relating to the upcoming West Midlands Region Annual General Meeting to take place on 7th October 2014

Dear WM Triathlon Club Representatives,

AGM

The Triathlon England West Midlands Regional AGM 2014 will be held on Tuesday 7th October 2014 at 7.15pm.

The venue will be:

The West Midlands Water Ski Centre, Tamworth Road, Cliff, Warwickshire, B78 2DL

We are arranging for refreshments and a snack to be available for attendees.

We have chosen this venue as both a quality and safe place for your members to attend along with being as central as possible across our wide region.  Please support your Committee and Triathlon England representatives by attending.  We would be delighted and indeed encourage that your club is represented by one or two members.  This really is your opportunity to here what has happened in the region on your behalf, provide feedback and steer the future direction.

You are politely reminded that it is an undertaking provided by each registered club and certainly for all Starmark clubs to attend the AGM.

NOMINATIONS

As part of the committee meeting nominations will be accepted for roles on the committee.  Whilst some members of the committee will offer to continue their role, we are very keen to hear from members of your clubs that wish to consider a role on the committee.

IT IS OUR REAL OBJECTIVE TO HAVE AS MUCH REPRESENTATION ACROSS ALL CLUBS AND, IF POSSIBLE, TRIATHLETES NOT MEMBERS OF CLUBS REPRESENTED ON THE COMMITTEE - PLEASE HELP BY DISCUSSING AT YOUR CLUB, IF YOU COULD FIND SOMEONE TO BE NOMINATED....

In order that you are able to understand the requirements of the roles, please find attached the descriptions.  In brief, the roles up for nomination include:

• Chairperson 
• Secretary 
• Treasurer 
• Webmaster 
• Triathlon England Representative
• Volunteers / Officials Coordinator (currently a joint role unless two separate people nominate)
• Academy Liaison
• Young Persons Coordinator
• plus 3 non-portfolio roles
