We are running a talent ID day in the West Midlands to give an opportunity for talented youngsters to access the regional talent squad
Are you aged between 13 and 19 years old and believe you have the talent to be a world-class triathlete? Even if you’ve never done triathlon before but have a talent in one or two of the disciplines of triathlon that you may be able to qualify to be part of the West Midlands regional academy or be invited to Regional Academy training days.
We are running a talent ID day in the West Midlands to give an opportunity for talented youngsters to access the regional talent squad (13/14/15/16/17/18/19 years)
You have to be a member of a West Midlands club or live within the West Midlands to apply.
The day will start at 9am with a briefing from the Regional Head Coach about the structure of the day and will a swim session comprising of a time trial and a run track session which will also include a time trial. The day will finish around 17:00 when the coaches will review the performance of the athletes over the day
Once on the programme athletes (Talent Academy) will be able to access world class coaching across all 3 disciplines plus sessions covering strength and conditioning, nutrition, bike fit and maintenance, to name but a few.
Once athletes have reached the required standard they will only be accepted onto the Talent Academy (13/14/15/16/17/18/19 years) once they agree to:
• Attend all academy sessions
• Complete and return a training log within agreed timescales
• Sign Regional Academy Athlete agreement
• Complete annual planning documents and reviews as required
• Report any injuries and illnesses to the RHC
• Be drug free
