At the start of 2018 clubs that had completed the TriMark Bronze Accreditation Scheme were entered a draw to win a place in the Standard Distance Race at the World Triathlon Series in Leeds.

In Yorkshire, the lucky winners of this place were Richmond Triathlon Club and Jake Stephenson was chosen to represent the club and he did this with style!

Jake said “I thought that the event overall was well organised and a very friendly. I had a great experience competing in my first Standard Distance Triathlon and will definitely be back next year.”

Jake flew around the course in a time of 2 hours 1 second and finished 2nd in the Under 20’s category in the British Triathlon Standard Distance Age-Group Championships and an amazing 59th overall out of all the male age categories.
