This week is National Volunteers week and would also have been the build up to the A J Bell World Triathlon Leeds, so this week we are recognising and saying thank you to our wonderful GO TRI Leeds Ambassadors.

How long have you been volunteering in Triathlon?  About 3 or 4 years I believe

What does your volunteering role entail? GO TRI and Club Coach, volunteering at events and generally spreading the gospel according to GO TRI

What is most rewarding from your volunteer role? Watching those new to the sport fall in love with it like I have.  I miss coaching more than competition during the Lockdown period!

What is your motivation to volunteer in Triathlon?  It’s about giving back, without volunteers many sporting events simply couldn’t go ahead.

As a volunteer in triathlon, what have you been most pleased with/greatest success?  Helping to bring others into our wonderful sport, and creating a new Tri club aimed at the GO TRI level.
