Important Reminder Event Insurance

There are so many events up and down the country which is fantastic for the sport, giving participants a huge choice of different types of events.

As a Triathlon Home Nation member (England, Scotland or Welsh Triathlon) you have great member benefits including insurance while training and racing.

One important point to note is that we strongly advise members to only compete in permitted events. By taking part in a permitted event, you can be sure of a safe, fair and most importantly enjoyable race experience. If you are not a member you can still take part at a permitted event as you will receive a day membership which gives you the insurance cover needed.

Not sure?  if you see the green tick alongside the event, like the one below, all is great (this could show just a day or so before the race) the event has received the event permit!

If no green tick then the event has not yet been permitted, if the event has not registered with us at all it many not have the required risk assessments or have insurance (that covers the participants) and will not have a Technical Official overseeing the event.
