East Midlands Skills School Day Open Water Swim on 5th August 2018 Location: Racehub, Six Hills, Melton Mowbray, LE14 3PR

The focus of this Skills School Day will be on open water swimming skills. For some triathletes this might be the first time they have swum in open water so for them the day will be about experiencing the open water environment. For other triathletes who have swum in open water before we will be working on exploring and enhancing their open water swim skills. The day will be run alongside the East Midlands Development Squad triathletes so there will also be an opportunity to learn alongside more experienced triathletes. 

Triathletes who don't own a wetsuit can borrow one on the day - there are 20 wetsuits available in various sizes. We might not be able to find the perfect size, but we should be pretty close. PARENTS WHOSE CHILD DOES NOT HAVE A WETSUIT SHOULD SIGN UP AND PAY THROUGH THE ONLINE LINK - this will reserve a wetsuit for the child.

The day is open for triathletes between the ages of 8 (as at 31/12/18) and 16 (as at 31/12/18. Cost is £10. All triathletes should be able to swim front crawl for 5 minutes unaided and should be keen to swim in an open water environment.
