British Triathlon Home Nation Core and Ultimate members are eligible to qualify to represent the Great Britain Age-Group Team at World Triathlon and Europe Triathlon Championships, as well as compete at English and British national championships.
Qualifier events for the sprint and standard distance triathlon and duathlon teams for championships in 2022 are taking place across the country this year, with a World Triathlon Standard Distance Duathlon World Championship qualifier and Europe Triathlon Standard Distance Triathlon European Championship qualifier taking place within the region.
The Ashridge Duathlon on 1 May will provide members with the opportunity to qualify for the 2022 standard distance duathlon world championships.
Ashridge House in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire will welcome athletes for a 10km run, 44km bike and 5km run, with the run taking participants around a 2.5km loop of the estate and the bike leg on local country lanes.

Taking place in September, the Box End Triathlon offers the chance to earn a place in the Great Britain Age-Group Team for the European standard distance championships next year.
This standard distance swim, bike, run will be based at the Box End Lakes in Bedford. Following a 1,500m swim, athletes will head out for a new bike course of a 40.2km lap before completing their race with two 5km, off-road run laps.

In order to use these events as a qualifier for a 2022 championships, you will first need to register your intent to qualify with British Triathlon. Information on how to do this is available here.
Also taking place in the region is the Triathlon England National Sprint Distance Championships.
This will take place at the Box End Triathlon as well but on the day before the qualifier and will see participants complete half the distances of the standard distance race on the Sunday.
English championship events provide members with the opportunity to be crowned national champion in their age group across six multisport disciplines. The sprint championships is the penultimate one of the year.
