Within your Essential membership we provide you with great Public Liability insurance that ensures you are well protected if you cause an accident or damage to another person or their property whilst training in Britain towards your triathlon goal. You can train 365 days a year during your membership without needing to worry, we’ve got you covered.

Public Liability insurance is a vital element when beginning in swim, bike, run so we have secured specialist cover that takes the hassle away from members needing to arrange this.

Overseas Residents

We are only able to provide public liability insurance as part of Membership to UK residents. If you live abroad permanently, no public liability will be provided by British Triathlon through either our membership packages or through a Race Pass.

We hope that your commitment to triathlon is never interrupted by an accident, but should an incident occur that you consider was not your fault our Legal Partner, Leigh Day*, can provide you with great legal advice and support you through the process of making a claim for compensation.

The service is provided on a discretionary basis to members who have suffered injury or loss in an incident that was not their fault whilst training or racing as a pedestrian, cyclist or swimmer in Britain.

Members successfully pursuing a claim through our Legal Partner are covered for all legal fees and will be entitled to retain 100% of any compensation recovered.

* Triathlon Scotland provides a separate Incident Legal Service through their preferred legal partner, Digby Brown.
