Ben Dijkstra stood on the top step of the podium in Tunisia as India Lee won a silver medal at IRONMAN Florida.

Ben Dijkstra continued his return from injury with an impressive win at the Africa Triathlon Cup Les Berges du Lac-Tunis. The Brit was amongst the leaders after the 750m swim with the third fastest time and remained in contention on the 22.8km bike leg. On the 5km run Dijkstra was clear of his podium rivals to hold onto first place ahead of Dutchman, Ian Pennekamp, and Germany’s Eric Diener.

At IRONMAN Florida India Lee finished in second place behind American Sky Moench. The Brit was clear of Moench after the swim, boasting a three-minute lead on the eventual race winner.  The gap reduced on the bike leg, with Moench setting the fastest time of the day. Out of T2 Lee had added another 30 seconds onto her advantage but was unable to stay with her rival on the run leaving her over eight minutes behind Moench. Rebecca Anderbury was the next Brit over the line in 13th and was quickly followed by Abigail Bedwell who finished 15th.

In the men’s race, Harry Palmer was the lead Brit as he finished 17th with a time of 08:14:42. Behind him was a trio of DNFs as Andrew Horsfall-Turner, Sam Proctor and Jamie Bedwell all dropped out of the race in T2.
