Kazan ETU Sprint Triathlon European Championships
The Elite men’s race will see ITU World Triathlon Mixed Relay Series Edmonton silver medallist Gordon Benson head to Russia with plenty of optimism as will Sam Dickinson who took gold at the Tartu ETU Triathlon Cup and Baltic Championships earlier this month. James Teagle will also be representing Great Britain in the Elite Men’s race.
Over 130 triathletes from the Great Britain Age-Group team will be competing in the Sprint Triathlon European Championships this weekend with the 750m swim to take place in the Kazanka River, the 20km bike course around the streets of Kazan and concluding with a 5km run along the Kremlin Embankment.
Scottish National Aquathlon Championships
The next round of the Triathlon Scotland National Championships takes place this weekend with the Scottish National Aquathlon Championships being hosted by Lomond Masters Swimming & Triathlon Club at Balloch Castle Country Park.
Ironman Hamburg
The Pro men’s race will see this month’s Outlaw Half Holkham record breaker Will Clarke represent Great Britain in Germany.
There will be a strong female British line-up in the Pro women’s race with Susie Cheetham, Natalie Seymour, Sarah Lewis and Corinne Abraham all aiming to challenge for top spot on the podium.
Ironman 70.3 Canada
Caroline Livesey will be flying the flag for Great Britain at Ironman 70.3 Canada with athletes swimming 1.9km, cycling 90km and running 21.2km.
Ironman Lake Placid
Joe Skipper will be the sole Brit at this weekend’s Ironman Lake Placid in the USA. Athletes will swim 2.4 miles in Mirror Lake, cycle 112 miles through the hills of Adirondacks before taking on a 26.2 marathon run.
Ford Challenge Prague
Around 1,000 triathletes are expected to compete in this weekend’s Ford Challenge Prague making it the biggest triathlon event in the Czech Republic.
There are plenty of British athletes who will be competing in the Czech capital city including Emma Pallant who took silver at last month’s Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walschee.
