The London team hosted the event at Lee Valley Velopark on Sunday 4th November 2018.

Many congratulations and well done to all the London athletes who raced in the annual Inter-Regional Duathlon match-up against a team from the South-East on Sunday. The SE brought a strong team so were the overall winners on the day but we competed much better than last year so we are narrowing the gap (last year the SE won every age group, this year we drew in 2). The main difference is in the older categories where the SE team had the stronger teams including strong support from their academy athletes, so I suspected we were always going to be playing catch-up. We also had 3 of 8 individual winners (Theo Treadwell, T2 boy, and both winners in the T1 age group Marcus Solomon and Isla Taylor), up from 1 last year, so personally I am feeling better about the day than I had feared in the run-up. More importantly most everyone seemed to enjoy the challenge.
