Athletes need to have a Core or Ultimate British Triathlon membership. Click here for membership information.

Athletes need to register before 5pm on a registration closing date. 

Once registered, athletes will receive a confirmation email and will be added to the registration list below. (Check your junk mail if your email has not been received)

Athletes must be 18 on the 31st of December 2025 to be eligible to qualify.

The registration fees are non-refundable in any circumstance, and we cannot accept registrations after the final registration date.

Athletes who live outside the UK

All athletes who are British passport holders and live outside the UK are welcome to register with a race result that meets the criteria below.

Athletes who live outside the UK need to purchase a British Triathlon membership at Core or Ultimate level but should be aware that as they live outside the UK, they may not benefit from all of the membership benefits such as insurance cover. 

Register For This Event

To qualify for this event, athletes need to supply a race result which meets the qualification evidence and qualifying criteria outlined below:

Qualification evidence 

Athletes are required to submit performances providing the following information:

• Race name
• Race date
• Athletes finish time
• Winner of your age-groups finishing time the year of championship event
• Working link to your age group's online results (URL)

Qualifying criteria

• Event must have been chip timed.
• Results must be in 5-year age group bands. Results in 10-year age bands will be considered at Q3 onwards.
• Results should be comprised from an open water swim, mountain bike course and trail run. Other types of results cannot be considered*
• Due to the nature of the championship race only race results which have used a mountain bike for the bike element of the race can be considered for qualifying.
• If an athlete does not have a cross triathlon result, they may submit a cross duathlon result. An open water swim result from a race of 750m or longer can be added to the supporting evidence section with a working link to the results to be looked at alongside the cross duathlon result. 
• Submitted results must have a finishing percentage of 20% of the winner of your age group to be considered for team selection.

• Athletes who have registered with a result from January 2024 onward will be considered from Q1 onwards.
• Athletes who have registered with a result from May 2023 onwards will be considered at Q2.
• Athletes who have registered with a result in 10-year age group bands will be considered at Q3 onwards.

PQs from 2024 deadline to register is the first registration deadline.

If an athlete improves their best performance before a registration deadline and would like to update the result, they can update the result by following the instructions found here and looking for "How do I change the race result I added to qualify for an WT/ET race." 

*The following list of races have been pre-checked to be used by athletes for qualifying. If you wish to qualify at a race which is not yet on the list, please contact your Team Manager ahead of time so they can contact the event organiser of the race you wish to use.

To Pre-Qualify for the 2025 World Triathlon World Championship race, athletes must finish in the top 15 places in their age group and be one of the first three British athletes to finish in the 2024 World Triathlon World Championship race.  

• There are 20 places in each age group. Some of these places may be pre-filled by athletes who pre-qualified from the previous year’s championships.
• Places are allocated after registration cut off dates in order of fastest result to slowest result.
• After the final registration deadline date, the remaining places will be allocated. After this if any athletes withdraw the remaining place will be allocated by rolldown places. 
• Qualified athletes will be notified by email and will be marked with a 'Q' next to their name in the registered athletes list. Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4* and Q are all qualifying statuses.
• If you use a Hotmail, outlook or work email address please check your junk mail, we find these email addresses often send our emails to the junk mail inbox. We advise athletes not to use these types of email addresses and we can't re-issue a Q if an athlete has missed the opportunity to take up their place because they missed an email.
