Jonny Brownlee won silver at the Super League and Jodie Stimpson and Sophie Coldwell were a consistent force all weekend, full report HERE. There were also ETU Sprint Cup medals for Beth Potter and Liam Lloyd, and Georgia Taylor-Brown ended her season with a French Grand Prix victory in Nice.

ITU Huelva World Cup

Gordon Benson was fourth and Marc Austin seventh in a very competitive ITU World Cup event Five British men started, but no British women took part in this event, which was won by Vendula Frintova (CZE) – women's video highlights HERE.

The very technical and hilly course suited a bike break away, which Benson and Austin both got into and set themselves up to challenge for the podium on the run. Benson faded slightly to slip to fourth, but the heat seemed to suit him better than the cold and dark of the U23 world championship race in Rotterdam last weekend. Men's video highlights HERE

Funchal ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup

Beth Potter won gold thanks to a storming 5km run that the European Triathlon Union noted ‘would have beaten 28 of the Elite Men’. Her 5km run time of 16:44 was achieved having eased down towards the finish. However, it was her improved swim that made the overall performance possible in only her second international triathlon. Zoe Thomas and Bronwen Owen also achieved top ten finishes.

Liam Lloyd was third in the men’s race, another solid result to round of a good season for the Welshman. He was just a second behind the silver medal winner, Valentin Wernz (GER). Jack Willis continued his good progression from junior to U23 and senior racing with sixth place. Full report HERE
