The Derbyshire Triathlon Academy is now in its 2nd year of operating and it has been very successful with over 25 youngsters enlisted some of whom have now moved onto the East Midlands Academy.

There is still time to nominate in the following categories for the 2018 Triathlon England Awards. It would be great to see the East Midlands being recognised nationally for all the great work the clubs, coaches and volunteers and technical officials do! The nomination process closes on 12th September so there is still plenty of time to place a nomination and show recognition to that club volunteer, young volunteer and technical official to name a few!

As part of the 2018 AGM programme a Youth Activator Award course will be held at Rawlins Academy on 10th November. This course provides young people (aged 14-17) with the opportunity to gain the skills and confidence to lead and assist in the delivery of triathlon sessions and grow participation in their local club, school, or community group.
