ITU World Series triathlon features on another huge weekend of sport. A lot of eyes will be on the Tour de France in Paris, and our top athletes are ready for more televised triathlon in Edmonton, Canada. There’s also another step in Tim Don’s remarkable recovery story as he takes on IRONMAN Hamburg, and there’s plenty of domestic racing too.

2018 ITU World Triathlon Edmonton

Individual races take place on Friday featuring a stellar line of British and international athletes as the world title race heats up. Vicky Holland is a previous winner on the Edmonton course, but that day in 2015 featured freezing temperatures, whereas this weekend’s forecast is much more summer-like. Jonathan Brownlee has also won on this sprint course back in 2016.

Team Great Britain will also be racing in the ITU World Triathlon Mixed Relay Series Edmonton on Saturday.

IRONMAN Hamburg 2018

Sunday, Germany welcomes IRONMAN athletes to Hamburg as they take on the 140.6 mile course. Tim Don will race in his first IRONMAN as part of his journey to Kona after breaking his neck there last year. Will Clarke and Joe Skipper join him on the start line and Corinne Abraham has high hopes after her record-breaking win at IRONMAN Nice last month.

2019 ITU Sprint Distance Triathlon Qualifier (Draft Legal) – Redcar Sprint Triathlon

Age Group athletes will have a final opportunity to qualify for the 2019 ITU Sprint Distance Triathlon taking place in Lausanne next year. Participants will enjoy the fast and exciting course on Sunday. 

Artic One Tri and Para Tri festival

Now in its fourth year Triathletes and Paratriathletes will head to Eton Dorney to take on the popular course, this year doubling as the British Paratriathlon Championships. This has been the start of the paratriathlon journey for some of our highest profile athletes getting into the sport and has become a key date int he calendar.
