How to watch WTS Montreal, and what else is on this weekend?

Montreal leads a weekend of action with Vicky Holland and Jess Learmonth looking to consolidate, or even improve their strong positions in the overall ITU World Triathlon Series. There’s an ETU Cup event in Hungary on Saturday. IRONMAN action heads to France and Triathlon England will crown Club Relay Champions in Nottingham.

ITU World Triathlon Montreal

Montreal, Canada hosts the final round of the ITU World Triathlon Series before the Grand Final next month. The race features Series leader, Katie Zaferes (USA), and in-form Nicola Spirig (SUI) after her back-to-back wins at the European Championships and the World Cup in Lausanne last weekend. British women are a force to be reckoned with this year, though, and there’s a fantastic line up again after they placed four in the top five at the previous round in Edmonton – don’t miss watching this race on Saturday evening! Tom Bishop is the sole British athlete in the elite men’s race and faces world title favourite, Mario Mola (ESP).

2018 Székesfehérvar ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup

Hungary welcomes athletes from across Europe including world championship bound Sophie Alden, and Morgan Davies fresh from his win at the 2018 Malmö ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup.

IRONMAN 70.3 Vichy 2018

Successful middle-distance racer, Alice Hector will be in France on Saturday alongside Hannah Drewett. Drewett will then fly to Australia to guide visually impaired Paratriathlete, Alison Patrick at the ITU world championships. Natalie Seymour is on the start list, although she’s also on the list for 70.3 Zell am See in Austria on Sunday – an impossible double.

2018 Triathlon England Club Relay Championships

Holme Pierrepoint, Nottingham will once again welcome Triathlon England clubs as they battle to be named club relay champions. The format sees each club field a team of four athletes, each completing the swim, then the bike leg, finishing with four sets of runs. Wakefield Tri Club has put together a staggering 36 teams! There are 440 teams taking part in total.
