It was another busy weekend of swim, bike, run action with 17 athletes competing in Montreal, Tiszaujvaros and Thun.

At World Triathlon Para Series Montreal, a team of four Brits came away with two silver medals. Lauren Steadman secured a second-place finish in just her second race back, with Oscar Kelly also securing a silver medal in the PTVI category.

Finley Jakes finished in ninth place in the PTS4 category with Michael Salisbury coming eighth in the PTS5 category. Read how all the action in Montreal unfolded here.

At Europe Triathlon Junior Cup Tiszaujvaros, an eighth-place finish in semi-final one was enough for Lawrence Martindale to secure his place in the final, where he finished 15th. In semi-final two, Will Bloom’s 14th place finish was not enough for him to make the final.

In the junior female women race, both Isabella Hayes and Emily Crookes made the final after coming second and sixth in their semi-final. In the final, Hayes just missed out on a podium spot coming fourth, while Crookes crossed the line in 17th.

In the men’s elite race at World Triathlon Cup Tiszaujvaros, Hamish Reilly, Max Stapley and Hugo Milner all made the final after coming third, fifth and tenth in their respective semi-finals. In the final, Milner led the trio across the line in 00:53:03 to finish tenth with Stapley just two seconds behind in 12th. Reilly crossed the line in 25th.

In the women’s elite race, both Iona Miller and Sophie Alden qualified by coming eighth and 13th in their semi-final, while in the other semi-final Annabel Morton dropped out in T1. Alden did not take part in the final, leaving Miller as the sole Brit in the race and she finished in 01:01:27 to come 25th.

Thomas Davies was the highest placed Brit at 2023 IRONMAN Switzerland as he crossed the line 13th with a time of 08:38:21. Fellow Brit’s Jamie Bedwell and Andrew Horsfall-Turner both joined Davies on the start line but dropped out on the bike.
